Brent Randol, Ph.D.
Thesis Title: Measurements of solar wind and pick-up ions from new horizons/solar wind around Pluto
Thesis Advisor: David J. McComas
Current Position and Research Areas: Brent was awarded the NASA Postdoctoral Fellowship after graduating and he is currently working at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. His main focus is understanding the full response of the Voyager low-energy energetic particle instruments and data with the goal of characterizing suprathermal particles in the solar wind at large heliographic distances and shedding light on the current puzzle of how they are accelerated. He also works instrumentation for the upcoming NASA Solar Probe mission.
