Thesis Title: Jupiter's magnetotail: Plasma composition, dusk boundary structure, and tail motion
Thesis Advisor: David J. McComas
Current Position and Research Areas: Rob is a research scientist in the Space Science and Engineering Division of the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. His current research focuses on four main topics: (i) the solar wind and its interaction with Jupiter's magnetosphere, (ii) the origin, acceleration, and transport of energetic particles in interplanetary space, (iii) the plasma and energetic particle environment in Jupiter's magnetotail, and (iv) the development of new technologies for future space plasma instrumentation.
