Please join SwRI in congratulating our graduate student, Mr. Abdullah Shmies, for winning the prestigious “Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology” (FINESST) award.

His proposal is entitled “Juxtaposing the properties of ground level enhancements (GLE) and extreme non-GLE solar energetic particle (SEP) events with their solar sources.”

The award is ~45K/year+ and will now support him for the majority of his research work.
